Question: What is the difference between Transformation Pack and UX Pack?
Answer: Transformation Pack modifies system files and gives you ultimate experience, however a UX Pack doesn’t affect system files, and gives you limited experience. Please read if your operating system is currently supported in your desired pack page. And remember to Create a Restore Point before installing, as we also mention under download section.

Question: I downloaded a “.zip” file, how to use it, and what is the password?
Answer: This file is compressed, you must install WinZip, WinRAR or 7-Zip (FREE), or any similar program of your choice to extract it or open it and run the “.exe” installer inside. And if you’re looking for the downloaded file password, it’s already written in the download page under download line, please use “thememypc.net” and make sure there are no extra spaces.

Question: I can’t download and getting “403 Permission Denied” error, why?
Answer: This problem occurs when you’re trying to download directly from a hotlink, so please download only from our pages. It also might occurs if your download manager is not correctly integrated into your browser, you should disable or reintegrate it and try again.

Question: Should I uninstall any previous Transformation/UX Pack first?
Answer: Yes, it’s recommended that you install on restored/unmodified system files.

Question: Will I be able to uninstall the pack from my system, and how?
Answer: Yes, you should be able to remove it at any time from the same installer you downloaded to install the pack, or from “Add/Remove Programs” in (Windows XP/2003) or “Uninstall Programs/Programs and Features” in (Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista).

Question: Are there any system requirements for these packs?
.NET Framework 2.0 – Required for system files transformation in Windows XP/2003 x64
.NET Framework 3.5 – Required for system files transformation in Windows XP/2003/Vista
.NET Framework 4.7 – Required for some optional 3rd party apps and extra features

Note: Windows 8/8.1/10 have the required .NET Framework 2.0/3.0 built-in but you need to enable it by opening “Programs and Features” then on the left find “Turn Windows features on or off” then check the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) option.

Question: My homepage is now set to “WindowsXLive.net”, what caused this?
Answer: You simply did not notice the “set default homepage” checkbox while installing, you can run the installer again and reconfigure without that option checked. You may also read how to change different browsers homepage here.

Question: Windows Classic Theme is showing after installing, how can I fix this?
Answer: You can try to change themes manually, starting with a right click on your desktop.

Question: I find the new system sounds annoying, can I change them?
Answer: Yes, go to your “Control Panel” > “Sound” > “Sounds” > “Sound Scheme” then you can choose the “Windows Default” sound theme, then click OK.

Question: I can’t login to my PC after installing, how to fix this?
Answer: We are very sorry about that, but something in your system is conflicting with the pack. Try uninstalling it from Safe-Mode by running “uxuninst.exe” in “Program FilesUX Pack”. Or from Windows Recovery (for power users) by running “emergency.bat” in “WindowsUXBackup”. If still not fixed then please try this guide.

Question: The pack I choose to install messed up my system beyond repair, now what?
Answer: You’ve been advised in the download pages to Create a Restore Point, so when such a rare thing happens, you can Restore your System to the pre-installation status. We’re not responsible if you choose not to take such a precaution, please read our Terms of Service.

Please note that we can’t offer you any more help/support for Transformation/UX Packs other than what we already provided in this page. If your question is not answered here then please refer to the Transformation/UX Packs creator’s website: Windows X’s Live.
